Still a Platform for Community
Mornington Central was opened in August 2000.
It sits on the site of the old Mornington Railway Station; it was and still is a great community meeting point. The image featured is thought to be taken circa 1910. It is taken from Blake Street, looking towards Railway Grove.
Plaques acknowledging the previous use of the land are situated in front of the centre, in Railway Grove.
