Community Kickstart
2025 Grant Recipient

Congratulations to our Community Kickstart Grant recipient – It’s okay not to be okay

We’re absolutely thrilled to share some truly exciting news! We’re pleased to announce that It’s okay not to be okay has been chosen as the well-deserved recipient of the 2025 ISPT Community Kickstart Grant! They’ll be receiving a $10,000 grant to help them continue their incredibly important, community-enriching work.

It’s Okay not to be Okay is a charity driven by love and a fierce commitment to mental health, grief, and suicide prevention. They run community events, and mental health workshops, provide comfort through gift packs for those bereaved by suicide, and tirelessly raise awareness through the media. They equip the community with tools to navigate life’s toughest challenges.

With the Community Kickstart Grant, we will be able to bring their vital “Backpack for Life” project to the Mornington Peninsula, funding 17 early intervention workshops for approximately 535 primary school students (grades 3-6). These workshops will build crucial mental health literacy, resilience, and provide students with a powerful toolkit to confidently face difficult times.

A huge thank you to all the amazing community groups who applied for this grant. Your dedication to our community is truly inspiring and deeply appreciated!
